Prime for Life

Prime For Life ® is an evidence-based motivational prevention, intervention and pretreatment program specifically designed for people who might be making high-risk choices. This includes but is not limited to impaired driving offenders, college students, and young people charged with alcohol and/or drug offenses. It is designed to change drinking and drug use behaviors by changing beliefs, attitudes, risk perceptions, motivations, and the knowledge of how to reduce their risk of alcohol and drug related problems throughout their lives.

Prime Solutions

Prime Solutions is geared towards individuals who make high-risk choices around alcohol and drugs and progress toward their trigger point for addiction. Some people get close to it, or even go beyond. Prime Solutions is designed for these people.

Developed in collaboration with several leading addiction experts, Prime Solutions is a treatment program to help clients diagnosed with a substance use disorder.

Gabrielle offers both Prime for Life and Prime Solutions in groups and individually.

Active Parenting

Active Parenting aims to strengthen parenting skills and prevent child risk-taking behaviors, including drug use, violence, and early sexual activity. The program emphasizes parent skill development in communication, problem-solving, discipline, family enrichment, and encouragement.

  1. Communication: This is all about talking and listening. Active Parenting encourages parents and kids to have real, meaningful conversations. It’s like building a bridge of trust and understanding between you and your child.
  2. Problem-solving: Active Parenting gives parents tools to help their kids figure out problems on their own. It’s like teaching them to fish instead of just giving them a fish. This way, kids gain confidence and learn to adapt to different situations.
  3. Discipline: This isn’t about being harsh or controlling. Active Parenting supports discipline that respects the kid’s individuality but also sets clear rules and expectations. It’s about teaching kids that actions have consequences.
  4. Family Enrichment: This means spending quality time together as a family. Doing things together, like playing games or eating dinner, strengthens the family bond and makes home a happy place to be.
  5. Encouragement: Active Parenting shows parents how to use positive vibes to motivate their kids. It’s about cheering them on and boosting their self-esteem.

Gabrielle offers Active Parenting in groups and individually.
